Advanced Medical Imaging's reputation for providing excellent patient care is demonstrated by our philosophy of obtaining accreditation for all imaging modalities for which standards have been set. We adhere to the standards determined by the American College of Radiology, as well as state and federal regulations, to ensure that your visit to one of our centers provides you and your physician with the best and safest imaging study possible.

The accreditation process involves documentation and evaluation on three levels:

• The radiologists who interpret your examination
• The technologists who perform your examination
• The equipment on which your study is performed

Radiologists

The radiologists who interpret studies for Advanced Medical Imaging are members of Colorado Imaging Associates, a group of Board Certified physicians who have been providing radiology services in the Denver area since 1957. Our radiologists have sub-specialty fellowship training and extensive experience encompassing all disciplines of medical imaging and intervention. They also actively participate in medical research, serve as consultants on hospital and medical boards, and teach at nearby medical schools.

Technologists

The technologists who perform the imaging studies for Advanced Medical Imaging are all members of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Our technologists also have additional training and certification in their areas of expertise, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Computed Tomography (CT), Mammography, Ultrasonography, Bone Densitometry, and Nuclear Medicine.

Equipment

The equipment utilized at our facilities represents the most sophisticated imaging modalities available. The equipment undergoes annual testing for image quality and safety. Actual images obtained by our various modalities are sent to the American College of Radiology (ACR) for evaluation of their quality and for evaluation of the effectiveness of our internal quality control measures. Radiation safety is determined through measurements taken by our physicist to ensure that we comply with Colorado's ALARA initiative, which mandates that radiation doses are "As Low As Reasonably Achievable".

Accreditation in all modalities with standards set by the American College of Radiology is not mandatory but voluntary. We choose to adhere to these standards to better serve the community and to ensure that Advanced Medical Imaging provides excellent, compassionate, quality patient care.
